Q-Jet Needle and Seats
Is there any difference between the standard version and the "windowed" versions. Do the windowed ones allow a more controlled fuel flow into the float bowl? With that said is there any difference in where to set the float level? Thanks, Randy

Re: Q-Jet Needle and Seats
Thanks, Al. I 've also noticed that all the new ones come wthout the slots. I just thought it would be good to allow some of the fuel to come out the sides and not have it all shoot out the top of the seat. I know a few guys that machine their own slots in the new ones. Some of the local stock car guys drill 4, .110 holes, 90 degrees apart. I don't know if they are seeng a real difference or if it's just monkey see, monkey do. There isn't always alot of science when they do things. lol I'm just looking to find out if the Stk /Super Stock guys see anything. Thanks, Randy

Re: Q-Jet Needle and Seats
Are you guys talking about the early 207 style carbs, or the 75 and newer vapor recovery models?
It makes a difference as to how the fuel enters the bowl area. |
Re: Q-Jet Needle and Seats
Mark, the carb I'm using is 1980, 17080202. I'm not really having any issues with it but I'm looking for possibly better setup. Thanks
