"Live" from Joliet, Division 3 points race!
 

Well, we are on our way. It was raining when we left KY this morning, but in Middle Illinois the sun is shining. We should be there by 2:30 or so. Depends on whether or not Larry has to pee much or not!!LOL

The weather looks pretty good for the weekend. Maybe a little rain Friday night.

Since all the pros have pulled out of the paved parking, maybe we will get to park there, just in case it does rain some. We haven't been to the points meet in a couple of years, so I am looking forward to the weekend.

We have the makings for some Fuzzy Navels, so come on over this afternoon and have one with us!

We are here and in line. If you are coming up I-57, there is construction at mile markers 70-77 that held us up for about 30 minutes. Then there were police everywhere. Around mile marker 200, they were every mile or so.

It is very wet here. It is raining now a little, but it looks like it has been raining for 3 days straight. Only 1 rig has moved since we have gotten in line. Probably there is no parking at all in the grass now. Hopefully there is enough pavement for all of us!

Boring!!! We've been sitting in line now for over an hour and have moved up maybe 20 places. Evidently they only have 1 person parking everyone. We are still over by the round track. I doubt if we get in in time to get teched tonight. Good news is that it is not raining anymore.

Had to get started on the wine a little early! Nothing else to do!

Good luck this weekend!

Be very aware for police, Illinois is broke and the cops have been thick lately during the daytime. I haven't seen too many out after dark along the interstates.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. Well, we are in and parked and teched. It is really, really wet. We are parked in one of the concrete crossovers. Heavy rigs are stuck as soon as they stop. People are still pulling in. There is a big mud puddle all along the side of the motorhome and trailer, but at least we are still on the pavement.

Tom Rhoda is here in a DF/S to get a grade point. He is in the process of building a comp car. Debbie (his wife) said she wasn't going to be his "tow bitch". I thought that was great!!

Well it is definitely wine time.

When we left home this morning it was 74 degrees. It is 57 here now! No need for air conditioning tonight. They are calling for 74 and sunny tomorrow.

Lots of rigs still pulling in. If you are not Top Something or Comp, you're in the grass.

Just watching the NBA Finals.

Everything starts tomorrow at 10. Even Stock gets to sleep in.

Good morning-- It is a beautiful day here in Joliet. Blue skies, sunny. It is still pretty wet everywhere from the rain yesterday. Lots of people here. Even the overflow lot up by staging looked full. They should be calling us to the lanes in about 30 minutes or so. Saw Div. 2, 3, and 5 cars here.

We will be up there this afternoon. We left the motorhome and trailer up there this week. I hope it isn't stuck. Drew started his new job this week so he couldn't get there any quicker. Jim Whalen
