Great Bend rain out
 

With temps at almost a 100 who is all going back to great bend this next weekend, On the brite side no rain in the forecast, Traction was a problem at the first race what will it be with 120 + track temp. My small tire transbrake car will stay home, Have not heard of to many going back bad call on NHRA part.

I went to Memphis to miss the weather @ Great Bend. I spoke to more than a hand full of racers that did the same thing. I know they have all these crazy rules, but it looks like they could have opened it up to an all run deal and get more participants. Wouldn't that help the track from take a $$$$$ beating on the rain out?

Weather forecast for fri, high of 103 south wind out the south up to 20 mph sat high upper 90s west wind out of the west 15 to 20 can you say slooow.

Yes this looks to be hot. Heat indices above 105 degrees.

Congrats to local racer Bradley Grant on his Stock Eliminator win.

Congrats to the Great Bend track crew for putting on a great race. Temps were in the 90's and track temps were near 120, but the track was better than the April race.

Hey Tom should have come down to Pine Valley it was 104 degrees and the track temp was 142.

Yep, I lost two pounds with zero effort.

Only need to loose about fifty more. :D

No problem with bumper scrapers either.
