are you asking about the piece that sits between the fender panel and the inner structure? that piece is plastic, some would call it a splash shield, or inner fender liner, as many of these cars i've worked on thay were all plastic. hope this helps

Well, how's this. I have owned an 83 TA, 83 Camaro Z with plastic hood and a 91 RS 305 5speed. I can't remember for sure. I haven't raced one. If I was racing one, it would be locked in my memory bank, but it is not. You actually building a car or are you just buying and selling the good stuff? No need to get huffy about it, LOL.

I know there are some Camaro web sites that can probably get you definate answers. Do a google search for them and it won't take long.

we are getting parts together to do up a stocker---got a body minus the front clip---just trying to do it right----don't want any hassles in tech--- thanx for the answer so I'm gonna assume that plastic came on all the years---will take a look at the boneyard see what those cars look like---Regards Comp 387

I have work on these cars from 82 to 92 and have seen nothing but plastic.
