New Camaro ET's

Took the PT Cruiser to test and tune at Gainesville and ran a new Camaro SS twice. Automatic car that ran 13.74 and 14.05 then he parked it.

The interesting thing is that there was a guy there with a Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 (6 cyl) and he ran 13.4's and .5's all night. That's right chevy guys, a Chrysler 6 cylinder out ran the new Camaro!

Just trying to stir things up, please no threats, mail bombs or IED's; if you decide to invade me, remember that Max the Wonder Dog will slobber all over you!

The main difference is that Chevy will sell a bazillion Camaros. Chrysler couldn't give the Crossfires away. SRT 6 is supercharged too.

Bringing a '010 SS automatic coupe up to New England Dragway on Sat. to test (weather permitting). 1st track outing w/car.....so far he's done 3600 stall, headers, and e.f.i. live tuning. The only tire he could get ahold of for the rear brake clearance was a 20" Nitto drag radial....we'll see what this car does w/very low mileage, and stock except for what's mentioned....A little skeptical of the IRS and stock rear axles on this car, but have to start somewhere...:D WJ

that is pathetic! i hope that the driver of the camaro really sucked, i took my 4300# 09 challenger 5.7 6speed and went 13.62 @ 104.00 bone stock!!!! i was told the camaro's only weigh 3600 with driver.it should be a lot quicker.

I've seen numerous 6spd 2010 camaro's run 13.0's some are running high 12's at 110 mph with good drivers bone stock.

So, what you're saying is that because the Crossfire will be out sold by a bankrupt company, it shouldn't be faster than a new Camaro...great logic!

Yes, the 3.2 SIX cyl is supercharged and put out 330hp and weighs 3220lbs, the Camaro is a fuel injected, multiple valve 425hp V8 and weighs about 400lbs more SO, you feel the 6cyl should be faster....not much faith in the camaro!

Multiple-valve???

You were expecting, maybe, ONE???

LOL!

I have no clue what this ("multiple valve") means....

My apologies, my uni-valve brain misfired...but, actually two is more multi than one! LOL!

Think how simple your valve train would be if you only had one valve....who cares about exhaust...?
