Blame it on Beard!
I followed Beard's advice to the tee @ IHRA Pro-am skyview and did a righteous burnout that lasted from the box just about to starting line.......Quite fun, made me fell like a teenager, ended up a bit sideways at the line.....no matter, truck that could hooked hard and ran ok............then I got the bad news at the time slip shack......something fell off my truck at the starting line..........ohh thats not good and they wanted to see me.......ooooh
In the line to get weighed I did the visual.......fluids coming down(nope) check, lugnuts all accounted for, check, cal track and rear spring hardware and pieces check, header bolts and extentions check...... I saved the most damning for last......that hollow weight bar that conceals my 250 shot nitrous bottle and warmer for those pesky heads up NHRA runs......Check.... Hey, where's the on/off emergency switch? MIA and at the starting line! Eric |
Re: Blame it on Beard!

Re: Blame it on Beard!
I was like "whaaaaat?" LOL
I've noticed a screw loose  on the master cutoff switch on the Volare before, too, but have caught it before it fell off. LOL That must've been a really, REALLY long burnout to end up crooked and not have room to straighten it out. You could back up a little and straighten up... Glad you had fun though! :D I've had a couple people tell me the 'burn to the line' tip helped them last weekend. My dad has yelled at me for years "Don't give away all your secrets!" -=shrug=- It's fun. |
