Who's going to the IHRA race in Crandall?

I just printed the flyer for the race at the new Dallas track. Friday, 1st round of qualifying is 5:00 pm. No big deal, just show up about mid-day. Saturday, qualifying is 6:00 pm. Sit around all day while jr dragsters run? Does this bother anybody else, or am I just old and cranky?

I'm not in love with the idea because I never race after dark. Would rather start time trials at 7am and go racing....but who cares what I think.

I hve no problem racing at night, in fact I like it. I don't like it when you can't keep the fog off the windows, like Houston a couple of weeks ago. 100% humidity round 2 of SS at 1:45 am. Nobody could help the weather, that was nobody's fault. Lots of down time to clean the track made it run so late.

Didn't seem to bother Gary Emmons and Kevin Helms.

I just don't care to sit around all day Saturday. If it was a one day deal, no problem. But we have to be there Friday also. I may pass on this one. Nah, heck, I'll probably be there. Grumbling, but there.

Could be mistaken Ed, but I believe there are two separate races/two entry fees, one on Friday (eliminations after the 2nd time trial), and the same on Saturday. That's my understanding.

Yes, it is two races, but after running Friday, we get to sit around all day Saturday until 6:00 pm to qualify for the Saturday race.

Ed you can help me change a converter on Sat Morning. That should take some of your spare time.

I will. Beats watching Jr dragsters, which I think are great. Just not much of a spectator. What time to you intend to start?
