Jet Hot
Has anyone received contingency payment from Jet Hot for any claims this year or last. I have emailed talked on phone sent material to accounting with no response except thank you for being patience. They advertise that they pay several days after they have been notified for a claim. I have claims dating to Jun of 2008. We have over $2000 in claims pending with them and looks as if they just won't pay. Does anyone know of any legal way of getting payment.

Re: Jet Hot
Did you contact Charlie Nielson at NHRA about this?

Re: Jet Hot
Tim,
They still owe me a few hundred bucks from 2008. That few hundred bucks will cost them in the long run. I'll use someone else next time. Chip |
Re: Jet Hot
Tim...I worked a deal with Matt Patraskus from Jet Hot last winter. Coated new headers and put contingency credit towards balance....difference was charged to my credit card. well ..when the headers arrived the invoice showed they charged the full amount to my card and never gave me the discount. Spoke to Matt when I could get him on the phone which was very rare....even got a corporate big shot on the phone by dumb luck who was very interested in Matt not taking my calls ( Matt called me 20 minutes later after speaking to him) he promised he would speak to accounting and straighten it out which he never did. In the end after a few months of being jerked around by Jet Hot accounting dept. i filed a dispute with my credit card at the advice of all people the Jet Hot accounting person. Visa got the money back for me.
Charlie Nielson is a good guy but can only do so much...these companies owe NHRA big time....our money is peanuts. Beware of CSR also...won't get into that. |
Re: Jet Hot
Maybe if we put up a really negative campaign against Jet Hot amongst the racing community, they would get the hint!!! Everyone who reads this, and/or has dealt with this piss poor company in the past should not get anything done by them and should discourage anybody else they know from doing so!!! There latest add on how quickly they pay and that they have increased the amount of payment really has me pissed!!!
NHRA should take them off the list for next year, or until they make good on all the outstanding contingency they owe!!! I know their decal is going to have something really nice written on it for next season if I don't get my money before the season starts!! Do you think a false advertisement suit by everyone they owe money to would work??? |
Re: Jet Hot
Bryan, If the company sucks so bad, why has your family continued to run their decal and get your headers coated with them, only to rack up 2G's worth of contingency owed?? Why give them free advertisement when you get nothing in return? Just curious.
With that said, I totally agree with you. They are horrible (along with CSR) and something should be done.. but until that change is made, you wont see their decal or product on my car..and you haven't for years...for the very same points you have made. |

Re: Jet Hot
Call the Better Business Bureau for the state they are in, for starters. You can also try the ATTY. Generals office in their state and Pa. also.Nothing scares them like legal action. They used to do a lot of military contract work.I hope the mil spec quality is better than their header coatings.I had Air Borne do my header in 1999.Still has 95% lustre of when new.And the price was right.

I've also used Air Borne for my last two sets and have another set ready to send them... Great work and pleasure to do business with... |
Re: Jet Hot
Jet Hot has a facility here in PA , only 15 min.from me, and I won't take a thing there. ....Had a similar experiance to Joe's..........The last job they did for me had to be done twice ,and is deteriorating after only two years........AirBorne or Nitro Plate from now on.. ........Tom
