Who's racing in Stock @ the LODRS????
Volunteer announcers will be lining up this weekend during the running of Stock qualifying as announcer Alan Reinhart takes the wheel of Tommy Gaynor's C/SA 98 Camaro and gives Stock Eliminator a try.
Alan has competed in the past in Super Street (when he remembers to turn the air bottle on, that is) and is highly looking forward to taking on the Stock Eliminator field at this weekends LODRS eveint in Vegas. Bryan (or was it Byron?) Worner has already asked for a shot at the microphone and it is rumored that numerous others have asked for their opportunity as well (paybacks are hell?). A reminder to Stock Eliminator racers, lining up against big Al in eliminations is a "No-Win" situation. If you beat him, big deal you beat a stinkin announcer, but if he beats YOU, the stigma will be attached that a lousy ANNOUNCER whipped your butt. Have fun guys, just wish I was gonna be there! Where's the audiocast when you REALLY need it? :-) Unk |

Note to Self " Alan driving a Chevy and!! (GASP) an Automatic." Plenty to poke him with no matter what! We need some video of that for sure.
Glad to see another announcer getting some wheel time! I tried to get Winegar behind the wheel of our Nova. Told him I would even put an AMC sticker on the steering wheel. So far, no dice. |

Re: Who's racing in Stock @ the LODRS????
Hopefully whomever announces will have an understanding and knowledge of Stock/Superstock unlike the Bozo that announced some of the later rounds at the National event. I think he was the normal bracket race announcer because he knew the locals but didn't have a clue about class racing. However since S, S/S was on Thursday there were very few noninformed fans in the stands.

This is Div 7 where the Div Director is in love with the throttle stop classes.

Re: Who's racing in Stock @ the LODRS????
I don't live in D-7 but I do race it once in a while, the 1 hit Friday deal was started to help out several Stock racers that said they wanted to be able to work on Friday and get 2 hits Sat.

Re: Who's racing in Stock @ the LODRS????
I LIKE that way of thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOST of us in the sportsman level DO have to subsidize our
"adiction" with a job.............. vacation days sometimes can be a precious commodity!! It's bad enough we have to use so many to make the BIG races,,,,, let alone got to these divisional dances!! It'd be interesting to see it used around the "homeland" too! greg 3123 stk |
