Rubber Spring Cushions
My brother and I are doing some rear end maintainance work on our car, which is a Chevrolet Wagon. The rubber cushion/dampner on the top of the coil spring that interfaces with the frame on the one side was torn up pretty bad. I was wondering should I replace the cushion or leave it out completely? Opinions?

Slip a piece of heater hose onto the top coil.

Re: Rubber Spring Cushions
You can leave it out. Don't have them in our car. If it were a street car you would want to keep them in to quite the ride a bit I guess but otherwise just leave them out. Energy Suspension sells poly ones to replace them if you want.
