A Christmas Story........
 

'Twas the month before Christmas and all across the land, NHRA Class racers were waiting for news from the Glendora Clan.

When all of a sudden and to somes' dismay, I just heard our Index's would be reduced by 3 tenths come New Years Day.

To the tears to some and laughter to others, HP additions and reductions would be thrown under the covers.

So go as fast as you want in the up coming year, just don't hit the trigger and you'll have nothing to fear.

One bright point that I must explain, is that they still want us all back for the National Games.

So have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, here's hoping you car is fast enough to bring you all Cheer.

I guess when the shoe polish freezes cause I left in the glove box I wont need to replace it in the spring. Add to my christmas list more horsepower pass it around

what new rule changes were coming from out of the west
it makes one ask how can we possibly continue this quest

how long can we survive with the changes afoot
what the customers want is a point that is moot
wally is gone now and the almighty dollars is the lure
pro mod, top digger, will replace us for sure

we cant run em fast or the AHFS cops will fine
class wins dont mean **** and i hate to whine
as much as we bitch we can never unite
withhold all our cash and teach them whats right

in such a sorry state ive never seen racing be
im afraid that the end of what i love is what i see
i hate the brackets, and see little for me
rod runs i think is where i will be

a wagon full of beer, and 4 friends inside
give me a posi and its one cool ride
already have a title just need a plate
former record holder in a hell of a state

well maybe im wrong and the new year will tell
that pat joffrion has started a group that would be swell
a place to race, thats fair and wants ME !
that would be the Christmas present which brings me much glee

i wont dally longer, ive got presents to wrap
thanks for your time, reading this crap

RJ and Jack, You both have such great Talent!! I think you two missed your calling in life!! Happy holidays and hopefully some of the other Talents will add more!! Duane

I pale in comparison to the talent you have, looks like something you can fall back on after your racing career is over! That was great. Hope every one has a Merry Christmas and great Holiday Season.
