B&M shifter help
I have a new B&M shifter installed in my car,,,
If I hook the cable up to the trans it works really hard? If I take it off the trans it works fine, Anyone got any Idea's what to look for? Thanks, Ken |
Re: B&M shifter help
Check cable for a rough feeling when disconnected.Very slight, poss causes would be cable pinched or kinked at the factory or shipping. Some oem cbls would do this when I worked at a dealership.Hope this helps.

Re: B&M shifter help
If your trans shifts ok by hand, I would guess the cable is in a bind (not enough of an easy bend) That's my .02

Re: B&M shifter help
Ken,
Try what Bob said to do.... Make sure the tranny arm shifts easy by hand...If thats OK, check for a kink in the cable.. Try taking it off trans again and adjusting it in each gear to see if that helps ? Make sure you only remove at the eye-let , so the cable is still in the bent position... I think you may find it's in the tranny arm ? Good Luck & Merry Xmas.... |
