2003 Club Car golf cart batteries
Neighbor needs batteries for this electric cart,it had the original batteries and he replaced them with group 27 deep cycle batteries which are not very good. The original batteries said club car on them, don't know who made then.
Where is the best place to get real cart batteries for this cart ? What should they cost ? I believe it takes 4 and they are 12V Thanks, Dave |

Dave,
Most golf cart batteries are 6 volt, you might want to check that out for your neighbor. Costco and I think Walmart sell 6 volt golf cart batteries usually around $65-75 each. |

I thought that also, but he said it had 4 12volt's in it and that they were much heavier than the deep cycles he put in.

Trojan seems to be the battery of choice around here for both golf cart and motorhome. I replaced my 4 6volters this last spring.

Re: 2003 Club Car golf cart batteries
I believe this is a 48 volt cart, it has 4- 12v batteries in it.(I saw them). I surfed around and saw some info on club cars with this setup. My question is, where to buy them reasonably ?
Thanks |

Find the local Crown forklift dealer. They can hook you up. There is a big difference between the junk you get at Walmart/Costco and a true industrial battery.
http://www.crownbattery.com/ http://www.crownbattery.com/?page=deepcycle Although both are named Crown (lift trucks and the batteries) they are not the same company. Rich Scaz |
