BUT am I the only one (im sure Im not) that thinks if were talking about running 4 at the same time it has potential for a Nascar style Pile Up ?

I think this is going to end badly at some point, for 4 instead of 2.....

After visiting there for the Z-MAXX inagural event, I feel that there's too much distance between 1 pr. of lanes and the other 2 to see 4 lane race action from a spectator's view, even if you're at the highest point in the stands--either side....maybe they're thinking of impressing the tv audiences  I liked the 4 lane idea for 1 side clean-up operation to continue race action, (no down-time) but now, 4 cars racing at once just seems like another circus type notion being stuffed down the racers' and fans' throats. (by a NASCAR guy,??) Please, grass-roots, 2-at-a-time drag racing is best for everyone--racers and fans....my 2 cents. :) WJ

Drooze, no possibility of a Nascar style pile up; you have to understand how Z-max is constructed. Think of it as 2 "complete" dragstrips side by side because you have a retaining wall between the 2 cars racing on the right and the 2 cars racing on the left. I attended both of the Nat. events that have been run there, so I saw the 4 wide TF and FC exhibitions last Sept.; and I will be there in March when they run all Pro qualifying and eliminations 4 wide; it should be interesting to say the least.

As someone who attended the inaugural event and the second event last Sept.; I must disagree with you. I always sit 8 rows up, at the 330 ft. cone on the Pro pit side ( the John Force grandstand); my wife and I had absolutely no problem viewing the 4 wide TF and FC exhibitions last Sept. Also, judging by the reaction of the crowd; no one else had a problem either.

Check....good to know, I only saw it briefly and didnt really pay attention at the time, that makes sense.

I was wondering how "safley" they could clean 2 when the other 2 are running.
