Trailer Awnings
What's some of the best trailer awnings? Not really looking for the cheapest or most expensive just a good awning that's easy to put up and down. Any suggestions? Joe

Re: Trailer Awnings
I'm an A&E dealer, good middle of the road to better awning. Probably the most common you'll see at the track. Available in Vinyl or Fabric. Fabric is more expensive and the hardware has some options. See Campersworld.com for pics.

Re: Trailer Awnings
I have a Carefree of Colorado which mounts to the side in a box with no down legs.
Open with the push of a button and closes the same way. Mine is a 20 ft by 10 ft extension with a wind sensor and rolls up when it gets to moving around to much. A little pricey as I gave $3300 for it but you don't have to store it and it is up or down in seconds. This summer will be the 4th year on it without any issues. After having this one I would not have anything else. Just My 2 Cents |

Carefree of Colorado here also, something else to consider is the cover, I got the alumaguard (sp) this protects the cloth from the weather........
25' was $1500. with center leg with me installing.....would love what 63vette has but out of my price range. |

Re: Trailer Awnings
Carefree of Colorado, good product, poor customer service when you need parts or warrenty. ......A&E ,good product, great service, even on 10 year old awning parts. ..............My Carefree awning on my motorhome is obsolete @9 years old , my A&E trailer awning ,still holding up @14 years old [ new vinyl 2 years ago] ,and parts are still available .........If you are like me and keep stuff forever ,I'd go with the A&E. ...........Tom

Re: Trailer Awnings
I priced the Girard when I bought the Carefree and the Girard was about a $1000 more and only cam out 8 ft.
That is why I bought the Carefree and would do it again. Just My 2 Cents |
Re: Trailer Awnings
Aahh, you guys are talking about parachutes and sails. Seen all different kinds go airborne during the afternoon hurricane at Bandimere in Morrison, Colorado.
