Trans Dipstick Rule??
 

Can anyone tell me if the Lokar style is legal? and where do i find the acceppted list. i know it's a locking style, but what is NHRA deffintion of locking???

GO TO NHRA SITE LOOK UNDER COMPETITION ON THE MIDDLE TOOL BAR FAR RIGHT HAND SIDE--- THEN LOOK FOR NHRA ACCEPTED PRODUCTS---DIPSTICKS ARE ON PAGE 83---- LOOK UNDER THE DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS---- TO FIND THE ITEM YOU ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE INDIVIDUAL MFG. SITE AND LOOK FOR YOUR APPLICATION----SORRY FOR ALL CAPS WE ONLY USE CAPS HERE AT WORK---- will use small case letters in the future just did not feel like typing this all over--Comp 387

Hi Jim,

I know when I checked the Lokar dip sticks for Mopar were not on the approved list, that may have changed. If you have a regular tube ATI sells an accepted locking plug for $10.00.

I don't think Lokar has any yet, or did not when we inquired recently. We are a Lokar dealer. I wonder who dreamed that up.

Anyone running 10.99 or quicker is my understanding. When I checked the Lokar website earlier this year the Mopar dip stick was not approved, their Ford and Chev ones were.

GM Performance Parts is now listed as acceptable too on the NHRA site. Only problem is I downloaded the 2010 catalog from thier site and cant find a single locking trans dipstick in it.

Thanks for all the info. got it taken care of A-1 has everything needed!, sucks that i have 4 cars. that need them.. So give Alan a call @ A-1 they are stocking many applications.
