D-1 Parking in 2010
Northeast Division Event Parking
February 16, 2010 Due to the overwhelming number of complaints about saving space for parking in the primary areas, the ability to save spots will be different for the 2010 season. Those that wish to save spots for their team and friends, will have to do so on - non - asphalt areas at most of our tracks. Many people come to the event early and rope off parking area, on the asphalt, for their friends, and this continues to be an issue for complaints from racers arriving and not being able to find a parking area. As you all know, each track saves space for Sponsors, displays and the cetain classes. Those that come to the event first, should get their turn at the asphalt parking that is available. We are not saying you can not save space for your friends, as we understand some of you wish to park as a group. But to be fair about it, you either need to come in as a group, or move to the area's that are not as popular, when you wish to save spaces. We do think this is a fair method of accomadating space for everyone. First come first served in the better parking area. Those that wish to be parked as a group, still have the option of saving space for their team mates. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding, we are just trying to be fair and have a policy that everyone can enjoy our events. |
Re: D-1 Parking in 2010
After parking the vendors, Alky cars and Comp cars... is there ever any paved parking left????
I know down here MOST tracks run out of pavement well before they park the few Alky cars... let alone any Comp cars... |

Re: D-1 Parking in 2010
Does this mean if you want to save spots at E-Town, you have to park around the lake?....lol. On a serious note, I think its a fair policy that probably should have been enforced a while ago.

Carl and "Pants on the ground" Asta,
I agree also my thing is will it be ENFORCED or will rules be bent for certain racers? I'm actually going to park in the lake at e-town and use the trailer as a ski ramp :) |

But really how about also enforcing width of your spot as well? It's not ideal but me and my dad have survived with having one car on the door and one to the right of the trailer, it sucked but it had to be done due to the fact that (a) they were running out of room due to people taking up too much room and (b) apparently the parking guy figured that a stacker trailer would only have 1 car in it so he had the next trailer give us about 10 feet and parked right next to us. I think if 2 car teams took just enough pit spot to have both cars next to the trailer and not be greedy about it, we could all have a better weekend, no matter when we showed up.
