too funny .... nhra has nothing better to do than impose a $1000.00 fine for using the wrong can of Brake Cleaner (FYI if it contains no CFC's it can be used) CRC's Brake clean passes ... just looked at a can in the shop. Frank you beat me to this thread! I was going to do the same thing! LOL! |
Re: registration video
This may be their way of "playing nice" with the DEP. I'd be more concerned about people dumping oil in the grass or woods rather than CFC's in brake cleaner.

Re: registration video
wonder if Valvoline/Pryoil Brake clean passes, lol
interesting |
Re: registration video
CFC'S also pose a problem when discarded with used oil. ....Most waste oil haulers will test the oil when it's not coming from one of their regular customers. [who are still randomly tested] ...Most oil haulers will reject the load if it tests pos for CFC's.. .....This really is a Pro issue, but when it comes to dealing with the DEP/EPA ,I can understand why NHRA is doing it this way. ....It's no different than when I have to provide and document hazard training for my techs.........I can give them a pass on this one. .....Tom ........BTW Chris, CRC still makes chlorenated Brakekleen, it comes in a red can
