Tech Question
I had a '68 SS Cuda built by a local chassis shop. It was supposed to be a certified NHRA 7.50 spec car (25.5).
Aside from a few other issues with the quality of the chassis work completed my main "issue" is; I'm not sure about the X-brace under the floor pan. It looks more like a Y than an X. To me it looks incomplete or unfinished. I had another "chassis expert" from another city come out to look at the car and he said it was "unfinished". Before I send the car out to get unnecessary work done to it I'm looking for input from the members of this forum. Your thoughts or Comments are appreciated? |
Re: Tech Question
It might pay you t get a copy of the SFI chassis specs which will let you know exactly what is required to certify the chassis. You can order the specs from SFI for $35.00. It might just be the best money spent by you at this point. Go to this link: http://www.sfifoundation.com/

Re: Tech Question
I completely forgot about SFI.
I'll do that today. Thanks Ron!! |
Re: Tech Question
Don't forget when you look at the SFI , make sure it is for the right max weight for your car.
