Accepted intake manifold

Looking through the blueprint specs there are listings for intake manifolds for some SB Mopars. If there is no such listing given, is there some flexibility for the factory manifold used. Can manifolds be used from different years providing that they are still factory 2 or 4 bbl? Thanks

I too am VERY curious about this a combo I would like to consider someday well no manifold is mentioned, and I know the Japaneese market version is much more efficient....

No. You have to contact NHRA. There are too many different engine specifications within the same engine family.

.I am confused...are you talking about small block V8 or 4-6 cylinder mopar import stuff. All V8 stuff we run has multiple part #s and they do seem to flow and perform a little different for us. Thanks John Irving

Yeah the one in my question is a "captive import" but its in the guides....

As in made in Japan, and branded here.....so the JDM (Japaneese Domestic Market) version of it is slightly different because of lack of emission controls then in Japan......

If I can actually FIND one, I had one once but now in 2 years I have found 2 both rusted beyond reason.

Re: Accepted intake manifold

I have a print out from NHRA that has manifold part#'s. There is no listing for the 273 4bbl. The 273 4bbl intake for the '65 has a different bolt pattern than the later years. The intakes runners are lower on the intake manifold than the superceded 302 head. The difference at the top of the port are significant and disturbs the gas/air flow from the intake to the head. I would like to use the late model intake from a 4 bbl 318 motor that the 302 was mated. Thanks

Is n't this the engine that received the Edelbrock LD4B as a superseded part?
