69 Camaro Front springs ?

Never having run a small block I need a little help.
I have a 69 camaro small block stocker.
I want to purchase a set of Moroso front springs.
I have no idea what the front end weighs with a 350
Jegs lists two
1550-1640 or 1690-1750
Can anyone help me out here ?
Thanks, Ken

Ken.....I have usually had to cut even the lighter Moroso spring. My last Smallblock '69 Nova Stocker needed front springs. I believe I used the lighter Mororso spring and had to cut them twice to get a decent ride height. That car was a 350 with a p/g.

Ken -

I have a set of front springs from Santhuff Engineering that are setup for late 60's model Camaro's, Novas, Chevelles. I ordered them a couple years ago and never put them on. Once I tried to put them on I realized I ordered the wrong part number. I had to re-order the correct ones this week. So needless to say, I have a set of front springs that will fit your car that are brand new, never used. According to Gary Wisecarver, he puts these springs on cars and there is no cutting required. They are 18 in tall, 5 in outside diameter and rated at 200 pds. You can call Santhuff's to verify. Their number is 361-364-3169.

Brand new these springs are $189. I would let them go cheaper than that. Call me if interested 417-437-1669.

I would suggest the lighter of the two

Ken,
You have the heavier of the 2 moroso trick springs with 1 1/2 coils cut off. I would go the santhuff route or call pete z in babylon ny . Good luck with the car.

Santhuff with the correct spring rate is so much better that cutting a Moroso. We used to use Moroso trick springs and cut the coils to get our ride height. You can see photos at RinehartsPerformance.com to see our camaros stance. The front springs were never cut.

Ken, the orange car has Santuffs and small block springs, we're running the 427 with aluminum heads. You'll love how that stuff works.
