S/SS Would you consider ?
 

Would you consider a stock/superstock combo like we just had at KDS this past Saturday ,but have it on on Sunday ,June 13 th. You know we all used to race on Sunday and sell on Monday (so the ole saying was ) Same payout as before . I know it's hot this time of year but we can get the gates open at 12:30 ,give 2 time shots and go racing. Maybe a 3:00 start .We will try not to be there no longer than it takes to run the race. Still no buy-backs. Just trying to get some idea of how many of you would be interested in this Sunday format. Track worked great this past Sat. Kinda give me the yey's @ ney's if you would please.That is a month away from now and this is why i am asking your input.

I think Roxboro has one that day. No way this will work if they keep going on top of each other.

Herb ,Roxboro is the 12th on Sat . Ours will be on Sunday. That is one of the reasons for a Sunday race format. Only track i know of racing on Sundays is Piedmont. ( I think). We have a track within 1 hour in every direction from Kinston and all race on Saturdays. Can't be no worse than racing against 5-6 tracks on the same day. SUNDAY ,SUNDAY , SUNDAY.

It would be great if you could get Ronnie and Troy to join in on these combo races. Saturday night at Jacksonville and Kinston on Sunday, just like the old days!

That's kinda what we are gunning for ,but we gotta crawl before we walk. If we can get the interest up , i am all for some KDS & J-ville old days .Man i wish i could just turn back time sometimes.

I Love the idea of the Sunday format, we can race on Saturday at Roxboro and Kinston on Sunday. Motorhome coming in the next couple weeks, let's roll!

I think that is a super idea. There was talk at one time of Kinston test-n-tune on Sunday. I too think it would be nice if we could bring back the old days of racing on Saturday nights and "Sunday", "Sunday", "Sunday." Remember when we use to race on Friday night at Pete Fanns old Fayetteville track, then Jacksonville on Satuday night and the Gas and Modified race at Kinston on Sunday. You remember how many people would show up on Sunday for the Modified race each year?

My first race will be set for Sunday, June 13th. KDS will host another Stock/Super Stock combo, Hot Rod/Super Street 7.00 combo, Top ET and Mod ET Bracket Race.

The Stock/Super Stock and Hot Rod race will be the same exact format as last week, based on car count.

The Top ET purse will be set in the next couple of days, as will the Mod ET purse.

This will be a basic bracket race. We aren't in the position to go out on a limb with a huge payout just yet. What we need to do is show all of the racers that we are serious about making this a healthy Bracket Racing based track.

The gates will open at 11:00 and time trials will start promptly @ 12:30. We will give 2 time runs and each class will run seperate. First round will kick off at 2:30. We will run at a steady pace until the race is completed.

Please come support this race if you can. It will feature an affordable entry and first OR second round buybacks in Top and Mod only.

There will be no test-n-tune at this event to help us better serve our Bracket Racers.

Keep it up with your input. The flyer for the Sunday race will be posted in events section as soon as it is made. We will let you know when it is posted since we all don't visit there much. But I do.May have to have some more hotdogs on that race.

Thinking I'm gonna try and do this deal just to support you guys, have to give up a weekend at the beach :confused: but able to run Roxboro Saturday and Kinston Sunday is good for us in the middle.

I will do all I can to talk to wife and family into it, motorhome should be coming next week so maybe that will help. :D
