National driver ranking for past years
 

Where can you find the finishing order (national points ranking) for each class for past years ie S, S/S, S/G, S/C etc? I know they had the top fifty in ND each year. Is there a master file for such standings of all drivers per class for each year? Maybe Lewis Bloom, or Nitro Joe could help. Thanks

Thanks Don, I went there but it only goes back to 2000 and only top 50. While there, I did find (toward the top of the page) "contact NHRA points". I filled out the info and sent it off. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again

Thanks Greg, I got that back to 2000. I was looking for 95-99.

I recieved an e-mail from NHRA stating they only went back to 2000 on the complete driver ranking list. Thanks to them for a very quick response.

Hacking NHRA points listings
 

It's also possible to see an individual driver's points for 1999. Click on any name in a year-end list and a small window will open (if your browser is set to allow javascript and pop-ups). At the top you'll see a URL for that driver/class/year combo. Copy the URL to another window and change the year in the URL to '1999'. Hit enter and the 1999 results will load.

example:

Change "http://www.nhra.net/stats/pointsdtl.asp?an=84909&cc=8&se=2005&tt=1&dn=Jerry% 20Emmons&ct=Pasadena&st=TX&rn=4402&pt=414"

to:

"http://www.nhra.net/stats/pointsdtl.asp?an=84909&cc=8&se=1999&tt=1&dn=Jerry% 20Emmons&ct=Pasadena&st=TX&rn=4402&pt=414"

Also:
"cc=8" is Stock, while "cc=7" is SS, etc.

"tt=1" is 'National Championship Points', while "tt=2" is 'Sportsman Series Points' and "tt=3" is 'All-Stars Series Points'
