Congrats Fred Thibeault
Just wanted to say congrats to Fred Thibeault for his win this weekend at Greenfield Dragway in Nova Scotia in the first race of a 3 race Stock/Super Stock combo series.in Atlantic Canada. 18 of the top class cars in the maritime provinces were on hand to do battle in this first ever class race. Using IHRA indexes the top 5 qualifiers were as follows:
1-Fred Thibeault 1969 Camaro B/SA 10.23 (-1.31) 2-Bruce Riley 1971 Chevelle SS/EA 9.42 (-1.23) 3-Chris Howes 1970 Challenger B/SA 10.38 (-1.17) 4-John "Nova Scotia's Own" Armstrong 1969 Corvette SS/AA 8.82 (-1.12) 5- Blair Macdonald 1986 Camaro GT/CA 10.16 (-1.03) After 2 qualifying rounds in 90 degree heat the ladders were set. After the dust settled the final round was as follows: Fred Thibeault .031 RT 10.38(10.45) defeats Chris Howes .043 RT 10.47(10.54) A big thanks to all the organizers of this event in an effort to bring class racing to our local tracks in the maritimes and also the racers for supporting it!! Definately great to see Fred back out around our local tracks. You are still the man Fred!! |

Way to go Fred, how about extending that win streak at Napierville 10K combo this week end.

Hopefully, the J. Armstrong '69 Corvette will be at LVD Divisonal race....quite impressive to watch that car make a pass down the track....:eek: WJ

Rumour has it a few of our Atlantic Canadian racers are leaving this morning for Napierville and then down to Lebonon Valley. Best of luck to everyone!!!
