Interesting...if anyone was to make the same modifications to their current Holly carb, they would be tossed immediately.

The carb pictured is from their Hot Rod series I believe. I don't know what the actual carb discussed in the article looks like.

I'd have to assume it doesn't really have screw in bleeds or an aluminum body!

Or the 4 corner idle system...Well, depending on who you are, you can get away with it on your current setup...Maybe its who you know in tech when they look at the carb?

This Carburator does have the screw in air bleeds and Technically not 4 corner idol. If you have any questions about this Carb, call Phillip Vickous at

Re: New Holley replacment carb.

So, just to clarify...

I get to dig through junkpiles and Ebay looking for a one-year-only POS Rochester 2bbl, and then try to figure out how to make it work, and what I can and can't do to it, but there's some combination that can just call up Quickfuel and order up a new-tech brandy new aluminum carb?

That seems pretty whack to me. I'm just sayin'.

PS Not faulting Quickfuel, they make awesome stuff.

LX you do know you do not need to run the right # carb dont you ? can be any # as long as it is the proper cfm and the throttle plates measures the same as original.

Bob:

I did not know that. Thanks!

I'm sure that will make the task easier. Does NHRA have those measurements somewhere?
