Why would they take 3 hp off 64 to 66 Malibu`s 283 auto. stock, Number one qualifier at Indy points meet by .25. Tom

Thanks Bill, looks like the automatic got 3 back. it does`nt make sense to give one class the hp and not the stick. also heard it may have been done in error. i guess we will find out soon.:)

Tom, the only thing I can tell you for sure is that NONE of my runs from this year counted towards the class average. I only ran 1 national, St Louis, and you know what happened. No runs from divisionals are calculated in, unless you go 1.25 or more under, then its automatic hp. I would guess someone requested a reduction, possibly a west coast car that is currently .35-.38 under. They did run 2 nationals and if someone viewed those avgs, it would seem the combo needs help. It doesnt matter if you go 1.249 under, every run at every divisional you attend, still doesnt count and therefore, no trigger.
And, with the -3, it takes me out of K. Not what I wanted for sure...... Wade |
