JEGS Perfect Start iPhone application now available

DELAWARE, Ohio (July 1) -- Honing your starting line skills has never been easier thanks to the brand-new JEGS Perfect Start iPhone application, which is free to download and use.

"We're in a global environment and by offering this free app we're hoping to fill a specific need for drag racers, fans, and everyone that just wants to have some fun," five-time world champion drag racer Jeg Coughlin Jr. said. "This is a great introduction to drag racing, and at the same time it's perfect for hardcore racers that like to stay sharp at the tree. I certainly spend a lot of time on my practice trees and now I'll have one with me wherever I go right there in the palm of my hand."

Like a regular practice tree, the JEGS Perfect Start iPhone application can be dialed in for each user's specific needs, from a Pro Start to a full Sportsman Tree.

"We've been testing it extensively and I really think people are going to enjoy using this thing, whether to tune themselves up before the big race, or passing it around at a party to see who can cut the best light," Coughlin said.

does anyone know if you can upgrade your iPod touch software mine says it requires the 3.1.3 software update but how do you do it...i got my touch for christmas and it is a 8GB..thanks Brandon

Plug in to your Ipod and download the update, that's what I had to do.

Yes you just have to plug it into your computer using the same usb cord it came with that you use to charge it. plug it in and open itunes to update..if u don't have itunes u can download it at http://www.apple.com/itunes/

i plugged it in and it didnt show any updates except for itunes...

ok i clicked on my device and it said downlaod 4.0 i guess thats what i need to do..

Wow! This is a great app! I might have to bring the Ipod Touch and Iphone to the races now. That way the other one can charge while I am burning the battery down on the other one!

All I have too say this is a great App!!

I used it 2 weekends ago at the Super Gas Race at Maple Grove while it was raining out and after some tweeking with the delay box my worst light all weekend was a .010! Just sucks I cut a .008 first round and lost :(
