Browell or Quicktime for Stocker
Browell or Quicktime for a 1968 Big Block Camaro Stocker?
Who makes the best can to fit a 1968 Big Block Camaro stocker that also provides max adjustability/access to the clutch? Does anyone know the actual (not a guess) weight difference between an Aluminum Browell vs. a steel Quicktime? Post reply or private email to matt@welkerlawfirm.com -Matt Welker |
Re: Browell or Quicktime for Stocker
Browells are really nice pieces but you can not put one legally in a car with a factory floor / firewall transition. The Browell does not have that splice at the top like a Lakewood does.
The QT is smaller / lighter / better than any old Lakewood & is approximately 20 #'s or so. They can be bought SFI certified for 6.1 meaning an access window is available for easier clutch adjustments. Same with Browell at 1/4 the cost. But again, you can not legally modify the firewall of your Stocker to fit a Browell. |

The QT is a nice piece. I just got mine and it fits perfectly, also is makes clutch adjustmenting easier.
