IHRA K/CM legal. Currently has bucket seats in it, IHRA is now saying it needs a bench in it to be legal. I have the factory bench seat for it. Car is caged. Weight is 3800ish/lbs with a 99lb bar bolted to the back. Runs 7.40-7.50. Car has a cracked windshield, I have a brand new one that will go with it. Anyone that has seen this car in person, has great paint/body on it. Fun and unique car. Email me directly: My65cuda@aol.com if you have any questions.

Sorry, I don't need the car, but you raised a point that bothered me. I have a 66 that came with buckets, so where the heck does the IHRA get off saying it has to have a bench. Some of these rules just perplex the hell out of me. Like NHRA rules say that it must have stock gears, but I know plenty of people that run much higher ratios than stock. What's up with this, and since when did mid-60 model Camaroes come with wheelie bars...I just see so much in stock that defies the principals off the class.

His car is a station wag. IH says the book dont show buckets. You better get a new rule book seems your behind the times or not reading the rules correct.

I'm behind the times: I have been out of the sport for over ten years, have been racin' at a local country track every now and then: Am considering getting back into it full time by spring. Don't have a new rule book, haven't even signed back up yet...Still considering it. Got the cars, got the parts, got most of the mechanical and engineering know how: Will have the time soon. Thanks

Where on earth did you get the impression that NHRA requires stock gear ratios? I am not aware of that ever being the case. Now, I`m not a MoPar guy, but as I recall, to get bucket seats in a 66 Dodge Coronet, you needed to have a 500 model, the base & 440 models all had bench seats as I recall. Maybe you best buy a current NHRA rule book, and get yourself "up to speed" on what is & isn`t allowed in Stock Eliminator.

Correct on the 500 models being avaliable with a bucket seat option in advertising lititure though I never saw any station wagons with them. They can not be the later model "High Back" style seats. Because of the lack of rules in this dept. in both NHRA and IHRA the seats should at least look correct and be the correct style and have the right seat backs. An early style car with high back seats from a Duster or Demon looks like crap from a visual stand point. The upholstery style dosent matter. I see lots of NHRA and IHRA cars with incorrect seats but no body bitches.
