Mopar & C&R racing cool down valve?

Just curious on a 340 i just got one the C&R one way cool down valves. is it better in top hose? or the bottom hose? or does it really matter.

The top hose is the hot water coming out of the block, and the bottom hose is the cool water coming out of the radiator. I would use the top just because I think it would be easier.
