Planning a Racers Reunion in October and looking for old Bluegrass racers or photos.
The track opened in 1964 & closed in 1981.

Where was it located? I grew up in Lexington and never heard of it.

Must have led a sherlted life, was on Us 27 south of town before you got Nickolasville

Yes, I guess I did lead a "sherlted" life at age 8 in 1981 when the track closed; I was in third grade at Cassidy learning how to spell "sheltered". :)

Didn't care about spelling in scholl just wanted out to go street racing and then Detroit Dragway opened in August 1959 2 weeeks befor US Nationals there. Just to bad there is no spell check here or a least I haven't found it yet!!!!!!

Bluegrass was located 5 miles South of Lexington on US 27. Actual track location was Nicholasville, KY. although it was always listed as other tracks do, to the nearest larger city being Lexington.

I am still looking for more old photos from the track for a DVD project for the Reunion.

got no pictures, but tell me when the reunion is and ill be there...
as long as i dont have to run the butcher brothers or at least the tech guys will take protest money on them :)
