BG 400 pumps
We chewed up the rotor and baseplate on Rick Johnson's car at Brainerd this weekend. BG had no support at the race and thanx to Dave Rampy, we got a used one and obviously it served us well. People came out of the woodwork to tell us what junk they are. We hadn't heard this before.....what say you guys?

In their day they were state of the art.... It's no longer their day. Joe

Re: BG 400 pumps
I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones. I've had one on my top sportsman car since 1995 when Mr Goldman built my car. Thousands of runs and it's never been apart. From what I've read over the years, I've been very lucky.

Re: BG 400 pumps
if i can't rebuild it myself, i don't want it. MagnaFuel all the way

Re: BG 400 pumps
I had one and had problems.
I replaced it with an Aeromotive. I did find a guy listed on Racing Junk that sold parts for the BG and bought parts and rebuilt it myself. It now sits in the trailer as a spare only. BG has no support period. I called and emailed about parts and a rebuild. Never got a response. I won't ever purchase a BG anything again. Just My 2 Cents |

Re: BG 400 pumps
I concur that the BG are no longer viable, we ate up a couple, clogged the filters and carbs with all the junk, never again- switched to Aeromotive and never looked back.
