I would suggest for a dyno room the use of industrial mufflers; they have a low pressure drop and attenuate harmonics and sound. These silencers are rated for hospital use.

We use Beaird Industries Maxim Silencers they look like a long water heater with 8" inlet and outlet flanges. Here is the link.

If you are close to any type of naval surplus or ship builder you might check with them.We use a couple of mufflers that were originally desighned for a tug boat and they seem to do quite well and have held up for 20+ years.
