Whew ! ! I can't stand it - the drive here just killed me - a whopping 76 miles .Came in Gate Two and was greeted by lines as we can't get in until 3pm - just like the Army - hurry up and wait .Still better than being at work .

Those of you coming in -- things on the way here were business as usual in New Jersey - traffic and plenty of it .Good news ? OK - Got fuel on Route 18 South at Raceway Gas -- Diesel $2.67 cash or credit and regular was $2.33 -- guess i'm just used to high Pennsylvanis taxes .

Weather - overcast at this moment but 76 degrees with 37% humidity - barometer @29.67 and a final DA of 1977' .Weekend looks terrific with Sunday having a chance of showers and t-storms .

I guess they didn't tell the gatekeepers when to open cause they still haven't started .

One last word - I still have plenty of Free carload passes provided by PC Richard Appliance Stores - if you run into Gary Richard this weekend be sure to say thanks for his support .Another last thing -- this weekend i'm going to try something new - two "Live from " threads - here and "Almost Live from Epping" -- I'll try anything once with the help of a few friends ...........

I find it interesting that for the last few days I have been hearing radio ads for next weeks Diesel Truck event at Englishtown and there are also some ads on TV for this event.
There has been ZERO advertising for the Lucas race that starts tomorrow.......The best Sportsman cars NHRA has to offer and E-Town does not advertise the race because they know no one will come if they have to pay.....

Obviously they put their advertising dollars where it does them the most good.....and they know from all the past events there will be no spectators. The free tickets is a good idea that has been used at other races.

Sportsman racing is only for those that do it for the most part......

C'mon Jack.....I am not much of a spectator....I thought you knew that by now....

I will be bracket racing at Island......It is their 50th Anniversary race and we will be racing for a Wally as well as an increased payout.....

I will have made probably 3 runs while you are sitting around talking about things like what took place last week at Indy......and maybe got one run down the track...

Matt S. had tickets and gave some to his neighbors.....

You can explain to the newbies about "stop and go racing" (yea I did lots of that too) and also about how you can get there first but lose.......

Don't even try to explain HP factors...LOL!!!

Hi Jack. I made it from Mass. in about 4 and 1/2 hrs. Going through NYC wasn't bad at all. I am pitted next to Vic Guillmino. Billy Nees is coming down tomorrow. Doug Blackley (also from Mass.) is across the way from me. I also said hi to Dave Ley, Ed Fernandez, and Ken Kopecky. See you tomorrow. - Bob

Bob -- I'm surprised that you and Blackley came from Mass and skipped the Epping race ........but then that's why Division One is number 1 .

Does anyone else have a problem with not being able to view the attached pictures? Both at work and at home I am not able to see these thumbs? Any help would be appreciated.

Can't see Jack's, and some of Kenny's when he posts but all of Tom S. beautiful work was viewable. I'm guessing it is because we have the old Flash Player installed here on these machines, some of my suppliers sites don't display correctly either.

Talk about a beautiful morning -- this is it ! ! ! Sunny w/ blue skies and a slight breeze -- 68 degrees w/ 49 % humidity and burning off and a barometer of 29.73 gives a final DA of just over 1400 ' -- not bad -- not bad at all .

Tech is open and my "ride" is due here any moment ( towing only - no starting of engines until 10am today ) .

Attention in the pits -- anyone that Billy Leber owes money to now is the time to collect - after a Class Win at Indy and going a few rounds Billy came into a nice windfall - that's right moolah -- as in cash -- longtime GF Cheryl signed him up for a bunch of DRAW tickets and just when things were looking bleak after losing the nice DRAW folks came around to let him know he won the 50/50 deal for big money -- 3500 clams was his end - so when they come around the next time to sell you some don't be bashful -- buy a bunch as the next winner could be you .

Lastly - pictured below is Ken Meile - its a speed secret -- changing brake pads .

Ken's speed secret is out....better traction and less drag from the extra weight of his frictionless rear pads.......

A great day for you all to enjoy and build great memories.

Thanks for sharing with us Jack.

Have a safe race
