Trailer Emergency
Anyone know if Axle Surgeons provides Sunday service?
Just lost all the studs on one axle(and the rim/tire) on I77 in Virginia north of Wytheville. Any suggestions?? |

Re: Trailer Emergency
Gil Carty Jr. is a superstock racer who lives in Wytheville, VA on Lover's Lane. He is a great guy. You might want to try to get a hold of him. Sorry I don't have his phone number. Good luck. Larry Buckingham

Re: Trailer Emergency
Dave, If all else fails you may be able to take a stud or two from the remaining hubs. It would take some time, but could get you home and save some cash.

Re: Trailer Emergency
Dave the studs should drive out with a four pound hammer and a punch. Take a sample of the stud to the auto parts store to make sure that the straight knurl is the same size. Dont forget to buy the nuts. The tire and wheel can usually be found at a Tractor Supply or other farm type store. This is all based on the spindle and hub are in usable condition.
Good Luck. Larry |
Re: Trailer Emergency
Dave,
Sorry I wasn't online earlier. I'm about 30 miles south of you, just off I77 outside Hillsville. Call me if I can help run parts or anything else. 276-398-1114 Rick Carlson |

Dave
Did you get it fixed and back on the road or what. You could have unloaded the Maverick and drove in to town. LOL |
