I think the question is who makes one period.

The Hotchkis Sport Suspension Adjustable Steering Rod Kits are about as close as I have seen, I think this would allow some shimming rather than heating and bending but I don't know for sure.

George, now that the rules change allows for Heims on both Stock and SS , why not just change to Heim ends and spacers?......This is one rule change that that will make my life easier when setting up the alignment on a S/SS car ........Tom

Tom, first of all congatulations on your Super Gas win at the Dutch, I saw a few rounds and you had the car running dead on, nice job!

I have seen kits for early Mustangs that have a tapered stud that fits into the tie rod hole and a strait threaded section and spacers to adjust the height. The only one for Mopars I found was from Lofgren Auto Specialties and it's a nice piece, but kind of pricey.

If I can find a heim joint that has the same thread as the tie rod end and thats long enough I can adapt it somehow, I have a few ideas.

Have bump steer kits been legal in SS?

George ,Rod ends have been legal in SS for a while. ....On your A body application, you can replace the outer tie rod assy with a threaded tube with rod ends on both ends, in place of both inner and outer tie rod ends.....Any chassis shop or even a Stock Car shop should be able to fab one up if you have the center to center diminsions. ..To use a bolt in the tapered hole on the center link and the steering knuckle ,there are tapered bushings available from several circle track vendors, such as Coleman and Lefthander. .......Then its just a matter of determining the correct spacer height . ........Tom

Thanks Tom for the reply, I was thinking of the same type of thing but using the stock inner tie rod end and tube. But I doubt I can find a Heim joint with a 9/16 thread, which is what Chrylsler used. I'll look into the bushings and threaded tubes, thanks again.
