68 camaro stocker rear suspension

I just picked up a 68 camaro. this car is already set up for NHRA h/sa. I have no idea on where the rear of the car is compared to stock as i have been a chevelle owner all my life. now with car season over around here i have no way of measuring "local" street cars to compare where my car stands at idle.

i would like to purchase a set of cal track split leafs and would like to know where to start, at zero or plus one on the ride height. the car will be running 30/9 94inch roll out hoosiers or MT's. i have seen in the rule book that we can a 10.5 wide tire, i would asume that this would require the use of the plus one spring?

any direction i can get here would be appreciated

Ian

A 9inch tire is max for NHRA stock not 10.5.

I ordered mine at 0.
While at the ET Finals in Topeka this year, I had my extra set of 15x8 Weld Drag Lites with me.
I had the Hoosier rep mount one 30x9 Hoosier Radial slick on it and I trial fitted it. It fit perfect as far as height goes.

Something isnt right on my quarters or rear end....My LH qtr panel was not installed the same as the RH side, so I need to do some measuring before I could run a slick that tall. It was too close to the front on the LH side.

You can always lower and raise with a spacer, if you start at zero.
I believe Calvert will exchange them for free if you are not content.
Give Travis or John a call. They will set you up right.

Thanks Cad, my chevelle has the same quarter panel factory "offset"! The car is a g/sa, not h as i had said.

this car has had the wheel wells opened up a bit so the bottom touching the slick is not my concern.

True, that is the current IHRA tire max (10.5) allowed and a 9 inch radial is approx .05 quicker anyway.
