identifying planetary ratios???
need some help here--Came across a few PG planetaries some long and some shorties----As far as the shorties go is there a sure fire way of identifing the gear ratio if it is not stamped on the end of the shaft??? like counting teeth or some other way???? how many teeth on a gear is there for a given ratio??? when they rework a planetary to change the gear ratios which/what gears are they actually changing??? TCI had a copy of this on there web site that told the process of how to count the teeth to determine the ratio I got this off there about 5 years ago, if they no longer have it contact me and I will e-mail acopy to you. GA
