CalTracs with rear sliders
1 Attachment(s)
Finally upgrading my old leaf springs (dvoraks!) to Cal Tracs and split mono leafs with rear sliders (Afco's) in place of rear shackles. I haven't seen many apps. with the sliders installed. Any comments on this setup?

You might get more input over on yellowbullet.com for that.

Re: CalTracs with rear sliders
I would second that.
Not much comment because there is zero to little use of it in this group. I saw some comments on yellowbullet on there. Seemed like there were many people using them, but there are a lot of the 10 inch tire racers that don't use them either. Might be one that you need to test and see how it works for you. |
Re: CalTracs with rear sliders
Get ahold of Len at Mancini's and ask him how his set-up works. We did his car a few years back with that set-up.Although nothing new,the sliders were used on the dirt late models years ago. It just free's up the spring if your shackles are binding up.We did do some testing and did pick up in the sixty foot times but the set-up we took out of a customers car was pretty cobbled. If you want some more info, call me at 989.780.0099
