Coolest new Thing from PRI

From Moroso - added outer ring on this degree wheel calculates the cam lobe centerline for you. No more math. Really slick

Re: Coolest new Thing from PRI
Mike, how were the attendance numbers at the show this year?
and the attitude of those attending, looking forward into 2011? Thanks! |
Re: Coolest new Thing from PRI
I like it! I went to their web site and no info is available at this time. Did you get a price?

Re: Coolest new Thing from PRI
It seemed busier than last year and a couple of vendors I spoke with specifically said the same. Not sure if there were less vendors than last year but space could have been opened up if less trailer manufacturers showed up with less product. One side seemed to have an empty area against the wall. I was also told that PRI has a contract for several more years. Can't beat the weather!

Re: Coolest new Thing from PRI
Talked with MOSER ,HOOSIER , MILODON at the show and all were very pleased . Maybe with the downsize it actually helped. They also said the INDY show was good for them. They actually picked up bussiness from both shows because lots of people did not go to both. However they were worn out having back-to-back shows.I enjoyed the show and did get around a lot more than last year... I also heard that maybe one of the shows will change dates next year so they will not be on top of each other as originally planned. Alex D, I went by the CALVERT booth several times ,sorry i missed you. I am Ready to go racing now !!!! Can't wait././././././././.

Re: Coolest new Thing from PRI
That new degree wheel won't be available until early in 2011. Expect a price about $135. Also - credit goes to Dave Vizard who actually came up w/ the design and Moroso exectued the product. I will be buying one.
Some comments on the 2 shows - IMIS and PRI. I worked both shows. IMIS - I experienced Quality - not Quantity in the attendees. That made it possible to have some good discussions w/ Racers, customers, sanctioning bodies and tracks. The density of the crowd did not compare to PRI. We (Ford Racing) had the most interest in our circle track products. A number of colleagues in other businesses experienced the same. We will go back. Many of the attendees drove to the show - and Indy serves as a the perfect central location with a 3-7 hour drive for a large number of racers. Should the 2 shows continue w/ the plan to have their shows on the same dates, I believe IMIS will become a regional show. And given the slower pace - especially in the mornings - it made for some time for good B to B discussions that oftern get cut short. PRI - Yes - smaller than last year. The curtain that serves as the back wall moved closer to the front door again this year. Strong crowds - we were jammed from opening past close. Good quality of business discussions that seem to indicate it will be a good year for the racing business. BTW - my Circle Track products were stationed next to the CJ Roller - and it was swamped all 3 days. Lots of positive comments including a number of admitted GM loyalists who said they really liked what Ford Racing was doing by building things like the CJ Roller. They all had a big smile on their face and shook their head - almost in disbelief. But it's pretty simple - all of us at Ford Racing "get it". |
Re: Coolest new Thing from PRI
Are you one of the weasels that came up with and submited to NHRA those bogus hp numbers that are causing problems for so many of us?? Or was that someone else?

I believe that Mike is the manager of the short track oval program and would not have much to do with the Cobra Jets. thanks, Roland |
