80 - 82 Olds Cutlass
Would the 260 combo be competitive in U/SA ? How about the 305,307. or Olds 350 ?

350 4 barrel is the best, avoid the dual jet!!!

Re: 80 - 82 Olds Cutlass
Joe, the 302 2V combo that you asked about in your previous post is an "easier" combo to do. What is it that you're looking for, a "cheap" combo, an "easy" combo or a "class killer"? If you would like you can send me a PM and maybe I can help you find it.

Danny my Cutlass runs 7.90's 1/8 mile in P/SA... think the 283 2-bbl can do that? Would it run under the index? I'd say yes....would it be a "good" combo.....no.

Re: 80 - 82 Olds Cutlass
Billy,
I am personally sticking with my Monza in L/SA with the 350 - 2V combo. The same car you used to see at Island dragway back in the 80's and always helped me with advice. Not a killer combo ,but having alot of fun with it. I'm checking out combos for a friend who wants to get back into racing Stock once again after being away 30 years. Possibly a lower class to keep somewhat affordable. 10 Grand or less. I know that's a long-shot , but possible. Thanks for your offer. Joe Huestis "Annie's Song " L/SA 9724 |
