Firewall Flex 67-69 F Body
Has anyone experienced firewall flex in a stick car and if so what is the recommended repair?

Moroso used to make a brace that bolted to the two bottom master cylinder bolts and extended to the subframe to help prevent firewall flex for the clutch pedal pivot. It's an old part (like me. Only I'm an old fart!), from the 70s. Is that what you are talking about?

Yes. I just emailed Moroso to see if they have anything like that. Thanks for the info. If they don't have anything I will have to fabricate it myself.

I've seen Chevy II racers make a brace that runs from the master cylinder to the top of the shock tower. Theres quite a bit of movement on those cars,,up to 1/2 an inch with the old heavy clutches we used to run back in the '70s,,,maybe its better with the modern clutches.

My guess is you have old 2800-3200 lbs. pressure plate? If so take it out get a good clutch setup that will fix your firewall flex and save every driveline piece in the car.
