Stock or SS for road course racing???
 
Is there a forum like this but for say a stock or superstock eliminator for road course racing?

Chris,Check this out. This little 4 cylinder was built by my engine builder. It races in a nostalgia "stock" type event. This thing makes 250 HP and will go 10,000 RPM (shifts around 8,500). Not only does this thing sound outrageous, but it's the best race scene I've ever watched. He starts in last due to a flat tire in qualifying. Watch the cars he passes. The last one is a Sunbeam Tiger.
Makes drag racing look like such a boor!

He's pretty smooth driving. He was taking the corners much closer than everyone else. What type of car was that?

Not to take anything away from the Ginetta driver ( he's giving that thing a pretty good thrash)- but vintage 'racing' isn't really racing. Mostly just old guys with expensive cars (who are mortally afraid of damaging them), cruising around playing race driver. It is fun- but it's not racing.

Still looks like fun tho.

I tried auto-crossing with my 95 GT and it was fun, but the parking lots I raced in were small so I couldn't get up much speed.
But after watching that video, I would love to take a run around a big track like that. :)

You can't tell me that wasn't racing, NOBODY wants to finish second. When I think of old guys with expensive cars, I think of NHRA class racers !

That is one little bad assed car. I'll bet all those mustang and cobra drivers were scratching their heads after that thing sucked their doors off. Great video. I've got a little Valiant with a 273 4 speed and all updated firm feel suspension, so I know it's a blast. But that little thing would have sucked my doors off too.
