Louie and Judy Conkey Update
 

My wife and I just got back from visiting Louie and Judy in the hospital. They both are having surgery Monday morning. Louie is getting a pacemaker and he should be good to go. Judy is having surgery to help repair six broken ribs. They already repaired a broken arm ,shoulder and leg. Those went really well. The Docs said she would be able to breath alot better after her surgery tomorrow. Judy is in alot of pain and I would ask that we all pray for both of them. They are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We are fortunate that they are our friends. We will update you all tomorrow night after their surgeries. God Bless

Monday update: Judy had successful surgery today to repair six broken ribs. She is breathing better now as one of her broken ribs was against one of her lungs. They put steel plates on three ribs that were splintered and repaired the others. Lew has to wait till Tuesday to get his heart cath and pacemaker. He had too much congestion in his lungs this morning for them to do any surgery. They are in good spirits and thankful for all the prayers,calls and e-mails. They both are in Grant hospital in Columbus,Ohio. Judy is in room 735 and Lew is in room 518-B. I will update again tomorrow night. God bless.

Tuesday Update: Judy and Lew are doing good. They found another fracture on Judy. Her right knee. It is not displaced and should heal up fine on it's own. Lew had a heart cath and they found nothing wrong. Lew didn't end up needing a pacemaker either. He got a clean bill of health today! I'm not sure when they are going to release Judy to a rehab facility. Will post info as soon as we know. Thanks again for all your prayers and calls ! God bless

Thursday Update : Lew is doing well and will hopefully be released from the hospital Friday. Judy has had a set back. She has two blood clots in her right lung. The clots are small and the doctors are confident that the blood thinner will dissolve the clots. That's about all the info I have at this point. I will try to update Friday night. God bless
