Title rights @ Natl events
Seems like the new guys at NHRA (marketing dept) have made a deal with a new title
sponsor for the events at Atlanta and Maple Grove.I'm curious, from a financial view, just who prospers from this deal.Does it benefit the NHRA,racers, fans, the Board of Dirs.? If anybody has any insight I'd like to hear it.Please no speculation, that only leads to another typical free for all by the appeasers and detractors. |
Re: Title rights @ Natl events
When I worked at Maple Grove in 1998-99, we were looking for a replacement for Pioneer Stereo. The way I remember it, if the track found its own title-rights sponsor, they kept 100% of the money. If NHRA found it, they split 50-50 between the track and NHRA.
The asking price was in the low six-figures. |

Maybe they'll use the cash to pay for the resolution of the water weeping problem. |
