69 camaro heater
i know you have to keep the heater contols in the car, but what about the defroster duct and other duct work can this all be tossed. do kick panel vent have to be retained? i am working on a customers stocker and wondered if we can eliminate this stuff?

Re: 69 camaro heater
It has to look "stock" when you look at the top or front of the dash,
but the stuff behind the dash can be eliminated. |
Re: 69 camaro heater
The defroster duct and anything to do with the heater (except the controls) can be deleted. The kick panels are considered trim and should be retained but the vents/mechanism does not need to work. What the tech guy wants to see when he pokes his head in the window is a stock 69 Camaro interior and dash with a few aftermarket guages and switches. Some tech guys are more critical than others but if you go with the tidy OE appearance and steer clear of the "bracket bomber" look, your guy will have no problems in tech; at least not with the interior. Re: 69 camaro heater
It might be a good idea to save all that stuff you take out in case some one wants to restore it in the future. I can tell you that stuff mounts up fast when you have to buy it.
