trivia question

In the early 70's in Atlanta, Barnette Automotive had 3 SS Hemi Cuda's running out of their shop. One was a SS/EA 71 Cuda convertable driven by Terry Earwood. The second was the SS/DA of Jim Kinnette The Kinnette and Lockridge car and the third was the 70 SS/DA Cuda of Jerry Hurley. Does anyone know what the drivers went on to do. I was the wrench on the Hurley Car until he moved to Texas and I lost touch with him...Tonye

Re: trivia question

Terry is alive and well. Still does some work with Skip Barber Racing and was at Valdosta Wendesday for a test session with the Barnett SSAH Cudas. We had problems with both cars so back to ATL instead of to FLA. Jim Kinnett is also still arround. Had Kinnett Auto Parts for a number of years and builds homes now.
During the peak of Barnett Race Cars there were over 30 cars running Barnett power, not just the 3 mentioned.

Re: trivia question

When I knew Kinnette 36-37 years ago he was sandblasting and acid dipping parts... Its been a while. After Jerry Hurley moved to Texas and my new bride and I stayed in Atlanta until 1990. I ran a 68 Cuda with a 340 for about a year bracket racing then I joined the Cobb County Police and had to quit the racing. I am now in Kissimmee Fl. My son and I have a back half 75 Monza and we do some bracket racing. I had seen a TV program on performance driving schools a couple years and saw Terry Earwood teaching a class. I had no idea he could turn left and right.... As for Jerry Hurley he has disappeared for the radar screen. Glad to hear that the Barnette Brothers are still in the game. I always had a lot of respect for Warren. He built a terrific Hemi back in the 70's Thanks for the update...Tony

Re: trivia question

I would suggest getting ahold of David Rampy cuz his father in law is Sonny Ray and Sonny drove Jerry Hurleys(ex glidden) arrow--I'm sure he(David or Sonny) still keeps in contact with Jerry if he is still alive or at least knows his whereabouts
