Ahfs???
I've read and reread nhra's post about the ahfs.
I understand the trigger for an instant hit is 1.20 under I understand that the trigger for a review is 1.00. What I don't understand is the fact that they say if your class/engine/combo average is more than .85 under it warrants a hit. But their data starts at 1.00 under I've looked at this for a while now. And it looks to me like if your class/engine/combo average is between .85 and 1.099, under you get the hit for 1.00 to 1.099 under. Is this correct? |
Re: Ahfs???
It is ambigious in the NHRA description but, In the past the fastest trigger run decides what the % increase is.
1) There has to be two triggers to warrant review. for example one trigger of -1.080 & one of -1.111 2) If the engine family average or class average is faster than .-850, than the combination recieves a hp hit. 3) The precentage of hit or amount of index is determine by fastest trigger. In the example I gave a hit of 2.25%(-10 of index) would be given because of the faster triggering run being between -1.100 &-1.199 under if the average was faster than -.850 under. |

So the .85 average is the deciding factor. If you make 2 runs over 1 second under. |
