Holley fuel pressure regulator issue
I was flushing the lines on my Camaro when I noticed a fuel leak from the bottom of my new Holley big port regulator. The fitting came with the kit, everything was tight. I even used paste after trying first with teflon tape on the NPT coming in from the bottom. Never run into this with a regulator, was getting late called it a night. Could it be a cracked fitting or cracked regulator. Anybody ever had bad regulators or fittings out of the box? Gonna get a fitting Monday at the local speed shop and start there. Nothing was over tightened, put several on in the past. Thanks for any input.

Re: Holley fuel pressure regulator issue
Not sure on the holley, but on the MagnaFuel and Product Engineering ones that I have used, the fittings require an O-Ring to seal up. Worth checking out if you haven't already.

Re: Holley fuel pressure regulator issue
I bought a Summit branded (remanufactured Holley regulator) and right out the box it had a pin hole in the casting. As soon I turned on the pump it had a tiny stream that shot out about 8 inches.

Re: Holley fuel pressure regulator issue
Regulators are thin at the threads and will crack at the threads if they are tightened very much.

Re: Holley fuel pressure regulator issue
Send the Holley back and buy an Aeromotive. Good quality stuff.
