Body Height effecting Pinion Angle?
Does raising and lowering the height of the body over the rear tires on a leaf spring car (via longer/shorter shackles) change the pinion angle of the rear-end?
Thanks, dt |

Generally, raising the car increases pinion angle.

Billy,
I'm surprised you didn't say: up is down and down is up. Or is it: down is up and up is down? :~) There is some good info about suspensions here. I think he was an engineer with the Chrysler race teams in the early years when they used the SS spring setup and developed the 3 link. Hope it helps. http://www.racetec.cc/shope/ |
